The Connexions Service
When a young person is admitted to Simmons House teaching staff alert the Connexions
Service based in the pupil’s ‘home school’ of the admission
and inform the Connexions Personal Adviser from the pupil’s ‘home
borough’. The Connexions PA will make an initial visit and follow-up
visits can be made monthly throughout the young person's admission.
Connexions staff have provided young people at Simmons House with careers advice, education and guidance and have led sessions in preparation of CVs, interview techniques and self management.
